Tasting Notes For Au Contraire Russian River Chardonnay 2019

Au Contraire Russian River Chardonnay 2019 is a premium wine that offers an excellent balance of flavors and aromas. The wine has a bright, lemon citrus core on the nose that is complemented by tree fruits of pear and crisp apple. A subtle floral note of jasmine adds a touch of elegance to the aroma.
On the palate, the wine’s citrus and tree fruit flavors are well balanced, with a hint of brioche and toast that adds complexity to the wine’s profile. The wine has a refreshing acidity that balances out the richness of the fruit, giving it a long and satisfying finish.
Whole cluster pressed. The juice was settled off the heavy lees and split between stainless steel and barrel fermentation with light lees stirring. Aged for 8 months in tank and barrel (100% French oak, 30% new).
Pairs well with shellfish, cream sauces, roasted chicken, fish, and zesty grilled vegetable dishes as well as mild gouda and soft cheeses.
